The Metal V2 features the second generation of Torrent 7-inch woofers, precision-machined in-house with the precision of a luxury watch and precisely tuned like a performance driver. Individual magnets positioned cylindrically around the motor structure keep the voice coil permanently immersed in the magnetic field for absolute and instantaneous control of its every reaction. The design has a controlled ferocity that surprisingly requires no crossover, channeling vast dynamic potential into the purest musical experience. The remarkable tweeter is the equal counterpoint to the powerful Torrent. The thick aluminum front and finned aluminum body keep it cool as it matches the Torrent's blistering beat with clarity and openness at any volume setting. These woofers have such a wide, flat response that they require absolutely no active or passive crossover components.
