Exclusive Delrin decoupling claw
The success of Totem's Acoustic Decoupling Shoe on other towers made it attractive, but the associated costs were prohibitive for the price. A new version featuring a high-density milled Delrin composite met the cost target and succeeded in breaking up standing waves and controlling surface resonance, tightening bass and enhancing the soundstage. These Delrin claws are equipped with ¼ 20 threaded inserts to accommodate optional tips (not included). NOT REQUIRED: The buffalo tricks were expressed with the claw as is, with no spikes, necessary or recommended. It has been integrated when a spike is rarely needed, such as on thick carpet, for added stability.
Building DIY Cabinets
Meticulously handcrafted for optimal performance that lasts for decades. Lock-Miter assembly is a complex woodworking procedure where edges physically fit together. The resulting speaker is up to 5 times stronger than traditional V Groove speakers. Internal and external plating resists warping, structurally reinforces and ensures consistent optimal performance. Industry-unique borosilicate damping manages dissipation, keeps the speaker musically alive and never deteriorates. Popular materials like poly fillers eventually break down, significantly affecting performance. Variable density fiberboard is denser on the ends than on the inside to reduce repetitive knots and resonances.

Custom Drivers
Each driver is completely unique to Totem and proprietary in design, designed by Totem then manufactured to the highest standards to meet our parameters by the best raw driver suppliers in the world. In some cases, when the technology is beyond the capabilities of the vendors or there is a desire to keep it secret, Totem can and will build its own drivers. Each driver features phase linearity, speed, emotion, natural off-axis presentation, and spatial articulation.
Handmade crossovers
Totem crossovers don't require a lot of parts due to the synergy between our custom drivers, but the components are the best in the world. Our crossovers are not built on PCBs because the laminated conductor traces are weak and inconsistent. Instead, they are attached to a thin piece of fiberboard or insulated polymers and the components are mechanically crimped together because it simply sounds better. When we need to solder, we choose WBT silver solder, the purest in the industry.
