JBL is an American company created in 1946 by James Bullough Lansing specializing in the manufacture of acoustic speakers. Several years later it moved towards the design and manufacture of loudspeaker components and equipment for cinemas and the general public. Since the 2000s, JBL has expanded its product range by introducing portable speakers to meet consumer needs. This expansion builds on JBL's strong reputation and expertise in film and music.
