Totem Signature One

Don't call it a comeback. The Signature One, designed for our 30th anniversary, is not a “return” of the famous Model 1 that launched Totem. This is an advanced, elevated monitor speaker that reflects the progression of our engineering prowess and is ready to knock you out.Signature One is a tribute to our history, an anniversary celebration and a design to both retro and timeless that will outperform its competitors throughout its decades-long lifespan.

Founded in 1987, Totem Acoustic has a rich history in producing handcrafted loudspeakers in Montreal, Quebec. Features

The spirit of the Model 1 runs deep, but the Signature One is completely unique and its superior performance defies comparison. A massive 6.5-inch mineral-infused woofer derived from the Forest driver is mated to a 1-inch aluminum dome tweeter housed in a rear chamber. Simultaneously designed to achieve the best phase relationship, their synergy is perfected by a handmade crossover composed of just a few precious components. The industry's unique borosilicate sealant manages desired and controlled energy dissipation within the enclosure while keeping the enclosure musically alive.

Building DIY Cabinets

Meticulously handcrafted for optimal performance that lasts for decades. Lock-Miter assembly is a complex woodworking procedure where edges physically fit together. The resulting speaker is up to 5 times stronger than traditional V Groove speakers. Internal and external plating resists warping, structurally reinforces and ensures consistent optimal performance. Industry-unique borosilicate damping manages dissipation, keeps the speaker musically alive and never deteriorates. Popular materials like poly fillers eventually break down, significantly affecting performance. Variable density fiberboard is denser on the ends than on the inside to reduce repetitive knots and resonances.

Custom Drivers

Each driver is completely unique to Totem and proprietary in design, designed by Totem then manufactured to the highest standards to meet our parameters by the best raw driver suppliers in the world. In some cases, when the technology is beyond the capabilities of the vendors or there is a desire to keep it secret, Totem can and will build its own drivers. Each driver features phase linearity, speed, emotion, natural off-axis presentation, and spatial articulation.
